Job Description
Calling all night Owls out there… We are looking for someone who prefers working through the night rather than day working. You need to be at your best when most other people are tucked up in bed.
This is a waking night roll, have I mentioned you need to stay awake all night?
As well as looking after the security of the building, you’re the first port of call for our young residents if they need assistance through the night. If you have an understanding of vulnerable young people and their needs that would be advantageous. You will also be lone working so you need to be able to work under your own initiative, be a self motivator and look for opportunities to engage with the young people in service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a full and accurate log of events through the night, offer a full and comprehensive handover to day staff, be proficient in conflict management and ensure the security and safety of service users, staff, visitors, contractors, premises and equipment when on duty. There will be some light cleaning duties around the project and the need to understand our systems and monitor CCTV (training will be provided).
You will be rewarded by working as part of a dynamic team, who are all there to help and support each other. You will be expected to work some weekends and public holidays so a flexible approach is needed.
If I haven’t put you off then I look forward to receiving your application.
Benefits: In addition to joining a great team, our colleagues also benefit from: enhanced holiday, your birthday off, access to a free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme, 24/7 GP Helpline, discount at our Café and Nursery, a free YMCA gym membership for you and a loved one and training opportunities on various topics such as Safeguarding, Mental health and Health and Safety and more!
To be successful, it is essential that you have relevant experience and or relevant qualifications in Support Work, recent relevant Training and Continued Professional Development. Additionally, it is essential that you have a flexible approach to your working hours, working hours will include daytime, evenings, weekends and bank holiday.
Our mission is to create a community where everyone is healthy, happy and connected. We seek to champion those that have no voice and support those that need it most. Employing over 100 members of staff across various locations, we are ambitious, vibrant and visionary.
