✅ What Will You Be Doing?

As a Mobile Maintenance Operative, you will provide a responsive and high-quality maintenance service across our housing sites. Your main responsibilities include:

• Delivering Repairs: Carrying out a wide range of tasks including basic plumbing, joinery, decorating, and minor electrical work to ensure homes are well-maintained.
• Ensuring Safety: Conducting vital statutory checks (fire alarms, emergency lighting, water temperatures) and maintaining rigorous Health & Safety standards.
• Supporting the Team: Liaising with residents to arrange access, coordinating with contractors, and assisting the Maintenance Manager with quality checks and stock control.

🔑 What Skills and Experience Do You Need?

To be successful in this varied and essential role, it is essential that you have:

• Trade Expertise: A recognised trade qualification (or equivalent experience) in areas such as plumbing, joinery, or electrical work.
• Safety Awareness: Evidence of relevant training such as Manual Handling, Working at Height, or Asbestos Awareness.
• Flexibility & Mobility: A full UK driving licence and a flexible approach to hours, including participation in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
• Communication Skills: The ability to work professionally and courteously within occupied homes and supported accommodation environments.
