What You’ll Need to Bring:

To ensure you can step into this role and succeed, we ask that you have:

Food Safety Knowledge: A qualification in Food Hygiene or a related field is preferred, but substantial previous experience in food preparation and serving is also very welcome.

Relevant Experience: Essential experience in a cafe or professional kitchen environment.

What You’ll Be Doing to Make a Difference:

• Creating Delicious Meals: You will be proud to prepare a variety of high-quality, delicious food, including homemade cafe favourites, freshly baked goods, and welcoming buffet-style meals for events.
• Creative Menu Management: Working closely with our friendly Cafe Team, you’ll help keep our menus exciting and relevant by adapting them based on customer demand, current food trends, and wonderful seasonal ingredients.
• Catering and Community Focus: You will be a key player in developing our emerging catering offer and, most importantly, ensuring our free community meals are fulfilling, made with care, and served with a smile.
• Smart and Sustainable Cooking: You’ll take a thoughtful approach to food preparation, helping us maintain cost-effectiveness and reduce waste without compromising on quality.
• Supporting Our Little Ones (Ad Hoc Cover): From time to time, you will provide essential cover for our Nursery Cook, preparing nutritious, child-friendly meals that meet all dietary and allergy requirements, ensuring our youngest community members are well-nourished.
