Summer Holiday Provision
Summer is just around the corner, and our Youth & Community team is already hard at work planning an unforgettable Summer Holiday Club for children aged 7–11 years!
We’re planning even more exciting day trips this year! We’ll be heading back to Shiremoor Adventure Playground for plenty of outdoor fun, having wild adventures at the Rising Sun Country Park, and in between the trips, we’ll be playing games, doing crafts, and activities to keep the young people active and entertained.
Important Note: Registering your interest lets us know you want to be first in line when official bookings open, but please note that registering interest does not guarantee a spot.
We’ve heard from many local parents asking what activities are available for older youth and teenagers over the summer break. If your young person is aged 11–16, our YMCA North Tyneside team will be out in the community offering a safe, engaging, and completely free space for them to hang out, meet friends, and get involved.
Catch us from 1-4pm until 13th August at:
- Richardson Dees Park (Wallsend) – Monday 27th July, 3rd & 10th Aug
- Tall Trees Park (Battle Hill) & Hadrian Park – Tuesdays 28th July, 4th & 11th Aug
- Scotts Park (North Shields) – Wednesdays 22nd & 29th July, 5th & 12th Aug
- Howdon Park – Thursdays 23rd & 30th July, 6th & 13th Aug
Come along and meet the team! We have a fantastic mix of activities lined up to keep young people entertained, including field games, Swingball, arts & creative expression, and teamwork challenges, alongside free drinks and snacks to keep them fueled.

Our FREE weekly Youth Groups are the perfect place for young people aged 11–16 to connect and grow. Every session is packed with activities like sports, arts & crafts, cooking, and inspiring social action projects. Come along and join the adventure at the location that suits you best:

NEW Maths Sessions
🧮 “Maths time” that doesn’t end in frustration!
Maths disguised as play: Engaging games that spark genuine curiosity. A September confidence boost: No tears, no anxiety just fun with numbers. Expert guidance: Led by a specialist educator who makes concepts click. Spaces are strictly limited to keep it interactive.

Story Explorers (Ages 5-8)
📚Unlock the magic of stories!
Join us every Monday for a creative adventure designed to boost your child’s confidence and language skills. Each week, we explore a new story theme, covering key learning areas in fun and innovative ways. It is the perfect place to learn, express, and imagine.
Curiosity Crew (Ages 8-12)
🗺️ Explore the world with purpose!
Curiosity Crew makes learning exciting by connecting History and Geography in engaging, topic-based units. This purposeful approach builds essential literacy and communication skills, empowering your child to express their ideas with confidence. It is education brought to life!
Science Club
🚀How does that work? Why does that happen? Will it explode!?
At Science Club, kids aged 7-12 years will get hands-on experiences of learning more about the magic that is all around us!
Theatre Club
🎭A club where kids aged 6-12 years can grow in confidence, develop teamwork skills, and nurture their creative thinking in a safe and fun environment while working towards an end of term production.
Leaders for Life
🌟Empower your future!
This 14-week course develops essential life and employability skills through engaging, co-designed sessions. We focus on building confidence and gently pushing participants out of their comfort zone, preparing them for success in their next steps.
Baby and Toddler Group
A nurturing space for children aged 0-4 to learn and boost their language development, improve motor skills and develop problem solving skills.
This FREE weekly group also provides parents with the opportunity to connect with others and experience a a sense of belonging within our community.
Healthy Heroes
A fun, inclusive drop-in program for children, young people, and families with additional needs in North Tyneside.
Healthy Heroes provides FREE sensory-friendly exercise, budget-friendly meal education, and essential family support. We empower young people to build healthy habits in a positive environment.
