In the wake of COVID-19 closures, our gym community faced a unique challenge. Three long-standing members, recently diagnosed with cancer, needed to suspend their memberships. One member, who had recently transitioned to part-time work, particularly valued the flexibility to attend daytime classes.

This member’s dedication to their health shone through. They maintained contact with the gym throughout their treatment. Eighteen months later, eager to return, they met with Gym Manager Donna Ayre and Cancer Rehab instructor Sarah Blakey. Together, they developed a personalized program tailored to the member’s specific needs and medication considerations.

Thanks to Sarah’s expertise and ongoing support this member has regained confidence in their fitness journey. Remarkably, they can now complete most of their program independently! This story exemplifies our commitment to fostering a supportive environment where individuals can regain their health and well-being, even after facing significant challenges.
