Christmas 2024
What’s on this Christmas?
HOPE FOR CHRISTMAS APPEAL 2024
2024’s Christmas Appeal is all about our Hope for Christmas. Our Hope for Christmas is that as many local children, young people and vulnerable people, regardless of their circumstances, have a Christmas to remember ✨
This year, our young people have had no increase in already low benefits and are now having to pay more for everyday things, like weekly food shops and journeys to college. We do what we can in using our contacts at local supermarkets to donate food supplies however that isn’t enough to help all our young people.
Our work in the local community has made it clear that it’s not just young people who are struggling, families, including those working, still have a weekly battle to keep food on the table let alone afford gifts for their children at Christmas. We want to help ease that burden this year.
Donations this year will mean more than ever. We’ve compiled a list of little luxuries that our residents couldn’t otherwise afford or think to buy themselves. Gifts of homeware will help them take pride in their flats, toiletries will mean they have a bit of extra money in their pockets to spend on themselves for a change and crafts or sports supplies means our residents can spend time together enjoying their hobbies.
For the vulnerable children and families we work with across our localities, we’ve asked them what one gift would make their Christmas truly special. From simple things like a book or art supplies, to fluffy socks or bedding, your kind donation is guaranteed to make this Christmas one to remember.
