Contract Type: 15 Hours Per Week, 5.45pm – 8.45pm

Salary (FTE): £11.50 per hour

 Job Description

We have an exciting opportunities to join our cleaning team on a part time basis for 15 hours per week in our Nursery. We are looking for someone who strives to achieve the highest of standards in what they do and ensure that all YMCA customers experience great facilities in terms of clean, safe and well maintained.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • To clean within YMCA North Tyneside’s building; as briefed by the Nursery Manager or Maintenance Manager so that YMCA is able to offer excellent customer service to members, visitors, tenants and staff in terms of the safety, usability and presentation of the facilities.
  • Ensuring STANDARDS* are met at all times. (*Detailed separately).
  • To complete daily and cyclical cleaning to ensure that we meet our responsibilities in terms of Health and Safety and client care.
  • To adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines and policies within the organisation and, to ensure that other staff do the same.
  • To adhere to COSHH procedure at all times
  • The effective completion of documentation, as and when required.
  • To ensure the buildings are secure at all times, as specified.
  • To take emergency action (e.g. shutting off the water) to prevent a situation from worsening.
  • To complete locking up duties in line with procedures.
