Ambitious goals… Building on success… Greater impact… These are some of the key themes underpinning the development of our new Strategic Plan. Themes that will manifest themselves in another incredible period of growth.
YMCA North Tyneside’s 5-year Strategic Plan for 2020-25 provides a clear and courageous roadmap that will drive the organisation forward; helping to ensure that our young people reach their full potential and ‘live their best lives’.
The Strategic Plan centres around 3 strategic priorities and 9 key goals designed to enhance financial security, further develop a culture of contributing and crucially, drive increases in the reach and impact of our charitable work with children and young people.
COMMENTS FROM OUR CEO- Dean Titterton, CEO of YMCA North Tyneside said:
“The stakeholder engagement process really helped to gain a greater clarity of purpose for the organisation, which led to a deeper appreciation of Our Cause. More than ever we are becoming focused on generating sustainable surpluses from our trading activities and using these to drive growth in the areas that really matter; providing homes and safe places, and promoting health, wellbeing and mental resilience in children and young people.
Our goals are ambitious… We are aiming to triple the number of young people we can accommodate [to over 100] by 2025. We are exploring opportunities for more Children’s Day Nurseries. And working to replicate our services in County Durham and other local authority areas in the North East. It is an exceptionally exciting time for everyone involved with YMCA North Tyneside.”
The stakeholder engagement process culminated with a reshaping of Our Cause Statement, which now reads as follows:-
“We are a community that supports children and
young people to be happy, healthy and connected.”
