At the YMCA Gym in North Shields, we believe a thriving community starts with individual well-being. That’s why we offer personalised one-on-one support to a wide range of members each week.
-
Empowering Newcomers: We guide those new to exercise, building their confidence with personalised programs and equipment training. Mastering the gym environment fosters a sense of accomplishment and encourages continued participation in the community.
-
Overcoming Challenges: For members recovering from injuries or with specific needs (like flexibility for avid sports enthusiasts), we tailor programmes to ensure safe and effective exercise routines.
-
Promoting Social Connection: Recognising the importance of social connection, we support members who may feel isolated. The gym becomes a space for physical and mental well-being, fostering friendships with instructors and fellow gym-goers, especially in one of more than 50 weekly exercise classes geared for all levels.
These one-on-one interactions are a cornerstone of our YMCA Gym philosophy. We go beyond physical fitness, creating a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
