HR and Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR & Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing accurate, timely, and professional HR and payroll services, supporting the development of a person-centred organisational culture in line with our People Strategy and Strategic Plan.

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

SALARY:  £26,325 per annum (plus benefits)

CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as one of the first points of contact for all HR-related queries, managing the HR inbox, and responding to inquiries professionally.
  • Administer HR processes, including compliance tasks such as pre-employment checks, and maintain up-to-date HR databases and employee files.
  • Assist throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, disciplinaries, grievances, and terminations.
  • Monitor and report on employee data such as turnover, sickness absence, and engagement, supporting the HR team in communicating findings.
  • Maintain and update HR portals, conduct research on HR issues, and support process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage all aspects of payroll processing in collaboration with the Finance Team, including handling payroll changes, resolving queries, and supporting payroll automation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and accurate processing of payments.

Please note that we are open to discussing applications for a part-time/ job share basis upon request.

 

Requirements:

  • Proof of the right to work in the UK.
  • Satisfactory references and a satisfactory enhanced DBS Disclosure.
  • Experience in payroll processing, procedures and administration 
  • Understanding of HR processes with a willingness to learn and develop further in HR-related areas.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
