LandAid helps YMCA to support homeless young people
LaidAid Charitable Trust has approved a grant to YMCA North Tyneside for £117,000. This grant will be used to fund the conversion and refurbishment of a terrace of empty flats above a shops close to YMCA North Tyneside’s flagship housing project in North Shields. YMCA training kitchen to help young people into employment
Funding of £17,650 has been awarded by DM Thomas Foundation to YMCA North Tyneside to support into-employment programme for homeless young people in the North East. The grant will be used to create a fully fitted training kitchen and community café within the YMCA building. The training kitchen and café will allow young people who are currently in supported accommodation to receive training and a work placement before transitioning into part or full time employment
